Mississippi Council of the Navy League President Rick Justice presented plaques to Instructor Pilots of the Year (IPY) during a ceremony at Training Air Wing One onboard NAS Meridian, Miss., on Jan. 12. VT-9 Navy IP of the Year Lt. Cmdr. Ryan Bruce; VT-9 Marine IP of the Year Capt. James Nichol; VT-7 Marine IP of the Year Maj. Braden Cummins; and VT-7 Navy IP of the Year Lt. Cmdr. Delano Steinacker III. Additionally, the council presented plaques to Enlisted Senior Sailors of the Year. They were Navy Operational Support Center Staff Senior Sailor of the Year ET1 Yovani Antunez; Navy Operational Support Center Reserve Sailor of the Year YN1 Carrie Lepicier; NAS Meridian Senior Sailor of the Year – AC1 Patrick Kiger; Navy Medical Readiness and Training Unit Meridian Senior Sailor of the Year HM1 Quenton Morgan; Naval Technical Training Center Senior Sailor of the Year RS1 Brittany Belcher; and 1st Sgt.
