Extra Mississippi State 'Barbie'

BRANDON, Miss. - BeBe Rayborn, a Mississippi State University senior from Brandon, is having an extra special summer. She is an extra in the new Barbie movie

Rayborn has been modeling since age 14, and she also is an advocate fighting to save lives from human traffickers.

Getting the call for the movie as an unbelievable but wonderful surprise, she told WLBT. “It was like nothing I’d ever imagined before. ... I felt like I was in a movie while I was filming for the movie,” Rayborn said.

At 14, she signed with the local JEA agency. From there, it got her signed with agencies in New York and London. After high school, "I went to New York, and everything just fell in my lap after that.”

She's now using the visibility of the movie by volunteering to help increase awareness about human trafficking. One of her friends almost became a victim.

Rayborn volunteers with the Mississippi Human Trafficking Council and No Longer Bound on the Mississippi State campus in Starkville. Her hope is to save lives through awareness and education.

She will graduate with a double major in Communications/ Public Relations and Philosophy with an emphasis in Religion in May 2024 and plans to continue modeling next summer in London.
