Study: MSU economic impact $1.8B

STARKVILLE, Miss. - Mississippi State University provides an estimated annual economic impact of $1.8B to the state, according to an analysis by the economic modeling company Emsi (for MSU) shows the university provides a strong return on investment for taxpayers, students and society. MSU’s economic impact supports 29,016 jobs, or one of every 55 jobs in the Magnolia State. Emsi's study, conducted last year, is based on data from fiscal year 2018-19.
