Alteg garners ‘Challenge’ win

Basham Johnson pitched the virtues of his new Olive Branch, Miss., company Alteg Systems, to potential business partners, clients and investors June 3 at this year's installment of the Mississippi New Venture Challenge. Alteg walked away as the winner in the pre-revenue division. Alteg will get $3,000, a host of free web hosting, legal and accounting assistance and perhaps the foundation to forge a slew of partnerships with companies like Boeing.
