MOBILE, Ala. - The USS Alabama Battleship Commission announced April 7 that repairs are happening onboard the WWII-era battleship. After 82 years, the teak deck of the BB-60 is finally being replaced. The 5-stage project will take about three years to complete and cost $8.5M.
