Update4: CG suspends search in La.

NEW ORLEANS - The Coast Guard recovered one unresponsive person and continues to search for 12 missing people, through the evening of April 14, from a capsized commercial lift boat eight miles south of Port Fourchon, La.  CG rescue crews have searched more than 1,440 square miles during a combined search period of nearly 40-hours. CG aircraft and boat crews from across the Gulf Coast were joined by multiple agencies in the search. UPDATECommercial divers recovered two more unresponsive crewmembers late Friday, Coast Guard spokesperson Petty Officer Jonathan Lally said. He declined to elaborate or name any of the crew rescued, missing or dead out of respect to families’ privacy. He referred questions from The Associated Press to a local coroner. “We are using every asset available to us to continue our search efforts,” said C apt. Will Watson, commander of Coast Guard Sector New Orleans. Nine of the 19 crewmen remain missing. Six were rescued Tuesday, and one body recovered on Wednesday. UPDATE2Confirmed deaths, and identities, of four mariners have been identified by the Lafourche Parish coroner: Anthony Hartford, 53, of New Orleans and James "Tracy" Wallingsford, 55, of Gilbert, population 504. On Thursday, two others were identified: 63-year-old captain David Ledet of Thibodaux, and 69-year-old Ernest Williams of Arnaudville. They were found in waters near Cocodrie, about 30 miles west of the toppled vessel. UPDATE3The Coast Guard, National Transportation Safety Board, and Seacor Marine are scheduled to update media April 19 on the response efforts for the capsized Seacor Power.

UPDATE4: The Coast Guard suspended its search April 19 for the remaining eight missing Seacor Power liftboat crewmembers. CG boat and aircrews, local agency crews and good Samaritans searched for a cumulative 175 hours, covering over 9,200 square nautical miles.
