Free contractor development series

JACKSON, Miss. – State contractors interested in expanding business are encouraged to enroll in the Mississippi Development Authority’s free Model Contractor Development Program (MCDP). The program kicks off Feb. 26 at Gregory Construction in Columbus, Miss. The nine-week workshop series covers relevant topics for businesses seeking to increase operations and bonding capacity. Participants must enroll, or already be enrolled, in the Mississippi Contractor Procurement Network system [mscpc.com] to take part. Each company’s representative must agree to attend at least seven of the nine sessions to receive certification. The kick-off session will feature Joanne Brooks, managing partner of JSSB Consulting and co-author of the MCDP’s framework.
