WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. senators Thad Cochran and Roger Wicker of Mississippi announced Aug. 30 that the Golden Triangle Regional Airport in Columbus has received a $1,063,485 federal grant to increase passenger safety. The Federal Aviation Administration grant will allow the GRTA to rehabilitate the airport’s apron, an area of an airport where aircraft are parked, loaded, and boarded. (Source:
