Halftime in MDA director search

A national search to find a new leader for the Mississippi Development Authority (MDA) is somewhere around halftime. Gov. Tate Reeves says the ideal candidate should be “tenacious” and “focus virtually every minute on bringing better and higher paying jobs to our state." Reeves didn't offer a timeline, but the process of doing interviews and discussing ideas with the MDA team "wasn't in the first quarter, but not in the fourth quarter either." Glenn McCullough Jr., the outgoing MDA director is stepping down at the end of January. Reeves also said he was looking to possibly restructuring the MDA staff.
