Blue Angels change of command

PENSACOLA, Fla. - The Navy’s Blue Angels demonstration team has a new commanding officer. On Nov. 10, Capt. Eric Doyle handed over the reins to Cmdr. Brian Kesselring at the Naval Aviation Museum during a change of command ceremony following the team’s “homecoming” airshow to end this year’s season. Kesselring, a native of Fargo, N.F., comes to Pensacola after serving as commanding officer of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 81 at Naval Air Station Oceana, Va. He will serve as commanding officer and flight leader for the 2020-21 air show season. The 2020 show season includes stops at Millington, Tenn., on June 20-21; and Pensacola Beach on July 11.
