Eglin AFB has a new boss

EGLIN AFB, Fla. - The 96th Test Wing welcomed its new commander during a change of command ceremony at Eglin AFB on July 2. Brig. Gen. Scott Cain accepted the wing guidon from out-going commander, Brig. Gen. Evan Dertien. A command pilot with more than 2,800 flight hours, BG Cain is no stranger to the wing’s mission. From June 2010 to July 2012, the 24-year veteran served as Eglin’s 40th Flight Test Squadron commander. Dertien is moving to Wright-Patterson (Ohio) AFB to become director of the Air Force Material Command’s Air Space and Cyberspace Operations. (Source: Eglin AFB 07/03/19)
