MSU: Top 10 military-friendly

STARKVILLE, Miss. - For the second consecutive straight year, Mississippi State University has earned the Military Friendly Gold Medal. MSU is recognized as a Top 10 Military Friendly school for 2019 by its commitment to supporting service members, veterans, and their families. The distinction was recently awarded to MSU by VIQTORY (formerly Victory Media), which evaluates post-secondary schools annually for support of student veterans. Vets and dependents comprise some 2,810 students at MSU. These students are served by the university’s G.V. “Sonny” Montgomery Center for America’s Veterans and a network of specially trained university personnel. VIQTORY’s evaluation showed that MSU exceeded standards in all measured categories, including culture, financial aid, military student support and retention, as well as academic policies and compliance.
