Aurora CEO new prez at AIAA

MANASSAS, Va. - Dr. John S Langford, chairman, founder and CEO of Aurora Flight Sciences Corp., has been elected president of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). In May, he will begin serving as president-elect alongside current President James "Jim" G. Maser. Langford will assume the duties as president and will lead the AIAA Board of Directors beginning in 2018. He is a proponent of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education. Among Langford’s campaign was to expand AIAA's educational outreach, primarily collegiate-focused, and incorporate middle and high school-level programs.
