Mississippi firm part of new NGJ contract
Naval Air Systems Command confirmed last week that Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems has been awarded a $279.4M protested contract to build the Next-Generation Jammer (NGJ) for the carrier-based EA-18G Growlers. Defense industry rival BAE Systems had formally protested the July 2013 award to Raytheon. Part of that contract work will be conducted at Raytheon's Forest, Miss., facility.
