Navy civ earns SECDEF award

JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas - The Air Force took home three honors in the 2018 Secretary of Defense environmental awards program, including the Environmental Quality individual/team award won by Mr. Frederick A. Javier of the 1st Special Operations Civil Engineer Squadron based out of Hurlburt Field, Fla. Javier provided outstanding leadership by training installation staff on environmental management, and engagement with local communities to promote DoD’s mission and science education.
