377th joins oldest WWII vet's b’day

Leadership from NAS/JRB New Orleans’ 377th Theater Sustainment Command joined the National World War II Museum in celebrating WWII veteran Lawrence Brooks’ 110th birthday on Sept. 12. Col. Justin Swanson served as guest speaker for the event honoring Brooks on a milestone birthday and his service during WWII with the 91st Engineer Battalion. The predominantly African-American unit was highly decorated for its service in both Papua New Guinea and the Philippines. Brooks is the oldest living American WWII veteran. "CBS This Morning: Saturday" co-host Michelle Miller was with the oldest American vet Sept. 12 in New Orleans on his 110th birthday at the National WWII Museum.
