Military retirees, those who receive disability or other benefits from the Veterans Affair department, federal civilian retirees, and social security recipients will see a 2.8 percent pay raise beginning in January. For Social Security recipients, the monthly increase will average $39 more a month. It will be the largest Cost of Living Allowance increase in seven years, and equaling as much as $369 per month for those on top of the retirement pay charts. (Source:
