MSU designated Purple Heart U

STARKVILLE, Miss. - The Military Order of the Purple Heart has designated Mississippi State University as a “Purple Heart University” for outstanding service to military veterans, service members, dependents and survivors. A presentation of the proclamation will take place Nov. 14 at halftime of the Mississippi State-Alabama football game. There are some 450 veterans and service members that are students at MSU, and the veteran community, which includes dependents, comprises more than 2,100 students on campus.
