Mississippi State University is in the midst of a $600 million fund-raising effort that was begun quietly in 2010. It is designed to support the school’s eight academic colleges – including the Meridian campus - libraries and athletic programs for scholarships to endowed faculty positions, a new engineer and science facility and future projects within the athletics department.
