Army team deploying to Afghanistan

The Defense Department identified a Fort Polk, La.-based Army combat team for major-unit deployment as part of the summer’s rotation of forces operating in Afghanistan. The deployment involves an infantry brigade combat team (IBCT) with roughly 1,230 personnel from the 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team of the 10th Mountain Division at Fort Polk, La.
